Hello,

I'm Walter and started learning Escrima in 1993 with Marleen De Craecker in Waasmunster. Ever since the "Escrima-microbe" didn´t leave me anymore. I also had the possibility to train several times a year for specific training with our
Senior Instructor KAJ WESTERSUND from Finland (5th level “BIFF - British International Fighters Federation”).

Until this day I had the possibility to train on regular basis with Kaj, also am a very lucky that our BIFF Chief Instructor JAY DOBRIN, Who came for the first time to Belgium in 1994, is teaching minimum once a year with us in Belgium.

In 1994 I met Punong Guro JEFF ESPINOUS and I started to study several concepts within the IKAEF. I still train on a regular basis at IKAEF seminars with Jeff and other IKAEF Instructors.

I also trained with and met other (Grand-)Masters such as:

- Inayan MASIRIB GURO EMANUEL HART & Inayan GURO JON C. WARD in 1999 (at the IKAEF Summer camp in Denmark)
- ANDY GIBNEY - of the DOCE PARES ESKRIMA (the system of G.M.Cacoy Cañete) and JKD (under G.M.Richard Bustillo in 1999 (also at the IKAEF Summer camp)

- G.M.CACOY CAÑETE - from the DOCE PARES ESKRIMA and ESKRIDO in 2000 (At a seminar which was organised by Andy Gibney in Kettering, England)
- SURO JASON INAY - Son of the late Mangisursuro Mike Inay from the INAYAN ESKRIMA SYSTEM in 2003, at a seminar organised by Simone Schlötels in Aken, Germany)

With these (Grand-)Masters I participated on several seminars and lessons and I hope to continue to do this in the future, by this I also want to thank them for there knowledge and lessons.

There are of course many more notable teachers with whom I trained with on different Seminars.
